Uncapped Wireless Internet – Interpreting the service |
This Uncapped Wireless service has been developed mainly for the conservative user who requires the assurance of an uninterrupted and fixed cost service. The uncapped wireless service is a managed service, whereby the customers’ usage is monitored and recorded. The service is allocated a certain threshold for the month which is currently set to the table below. Once this threshold is reached your speed will be throttled to the speed indicated in the table below and you will not be disconnected or charged extra for that month. Hence the term uncapped is applied to these services since you can enjoy an unlimited amount of bandwidth for the month and not be disconnected.
The sending and receiving of email is excluded from the speeds indicated above, however it does count towards you threshold cap. The sending and receiving of email will happen at a speed of 1MB. The burst speed applies for the first 240 seconds to a continuous stream of data. If normal web browsing is done, this will never be reached so that you can enjoy normal web browsing at a fast speed. When you however start a download / torrent or any other action that requires a continuous stream of data for more than 240 seconds, your speed will be lower (at that time only) to the package speed. |
